Molybdenum Oxide Dehydration and Calcination

Introduction:


     The internal combustion rotary kiln can guarantee good roasting quality. A single set of

equipment provides a large production capacity and possesses a long service life, saving

energy. The equipment is convenient for environmental protection, and the associated apparatus

has a high degree of mechanization and automation. The Sid Calciner has good versatility, such

as dehydration, breaking, sieving, and pneumatic conveying of materials. Various combustion

devices utilize different types of fuel to heat the rotary kiln, while the off-gas treatment system is

able to recover materials.


Working principle:

    
The internal combustion rotary kiln utilizes coal, coal gas, or natural gas as fuel. The resulting

flue gas is then used as a direct heat source for calcination. Dehydrated molybdenum sulfide

(with a moisture content of ≤5%) is conveyed into the rotary kiln for oxidizing calcination, and the

calcined molybdenum oxide is expelled at the tail end of the kiln.


Performance & features:


1. The residual sulfur content of the calcined molybdenum oxide meets the standard.


2. One ton of molybdenum oxide requires 400 to 450 kg of coal for production.


3. A single kiln has the capacity to produce 2000 tons of molybdenum oxide annually.


4. It has a long service life, lasting between 5 and 10 years.


5. The recovery rate for molybdenum oxide can reach or exceed 99%.

1. The length of the molybdenum kiln for an annual production of 2000 tons ranges from 18 to 28 meters.


2. The diameter of the kiln is between 1.5 and 1.8 meters.


3. The molybdenum dehydration equipment utilizes a Sid Calciner.
